Three ways in. All of them sanctioned.
No app can read your Messages database or another app’s files on an iPhone, and we won’t try. These are the routes Apple and the messaging apps actually allow.
iMessage & SMS
An Apple Shortcut uses the Messages actions Apple added in iOS 26 to read one conversation and pass it to the app.
Use WhatsApp’s own Export chat and share it to Text Exporter. Works with or without media.
Any other app
Screenshots or a screen recording, read on the phone with Apple’s text recognition. You check anything it was unsure of.

Choose a date range and who is who, then export. Messages keep the order the source gave them, and every one shows where it came from and how precise its time is.
